Position Objective:

Supervise and coordinate the operational activities of engineering, warehousing, cold storage, fleet management, and premises/building management to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.

Principal responsibilities:

Maintain good internal/external customer satisfaction levels by exhibiting competent and timely service, anticipating needs, and resolving problems.

Supervise the repair, service, and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, machinery, and building/premises. Provide technical support where necessary.

Develop and maintain efficient shop performance standards, procedures, and policies to maximize output and comply with legal regulations.

Manage facility security operations. Develop and enforce security policies to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors

Develop and implement vehicle, equipment, and machinery preventive maintenance schemes.

Manage the requisitions of new equipment, machinery, vehicles, tools and parts. Tracks their respective records, licenses, inspections, warrantees, and service agreements and assure accuracy of inventories.

Ensure permits for facilities and registrations for fleet are updated in a timely manner.

Recommend equipment, vehicle, and machinery meant for replacement and arrange/manage for necessary disposal or sale.

Recruit and train staff; maintain a safe/secure work environment; and develop personal growth opportunities. Maximize staff productivity by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

Coordinate with respective senior managers to resolve issues pertaining to engineering, premises/ building, vehicles, and machinery, etc.

Liaison with top management; Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.

Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned.

Education/Experience/Certifications:

Bachelors or Technical School Degree or equivalent experience in automotive/diesel truck repair and maintenance.

Five years of experience in a managerial capacity in the field or in a related area.

Skills & Knowledge:

Good technical skills in automotive, machineries, and /or equipment

Familiar with computer applications especially Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective communication and strong interpersonal relationship skills
