Position Objective
Plan, direct, manage, and coordinate the operational activities of Engineering & Facilities, including facilities/premises and building systems, warehousing support infrastructure, fleet management, and company trade equipment (e.g., primary coolers, post-mix systems, and fountain machines). Provide departmental oversight go HVAC and refrigeration activities through effective supervision of internal teams and management of external contractors to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.
Tier 1 – Essentials (Day One Requirements)
• Maintain good internal/external customer satisfaction levels by exhibiting competent and timely service, anticipating needs, and resolving problems.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the repair, service, and maintenance of facilities/buildings and building systems, vehicles/fleet, and company equipment, including trade equipment (primary coolers, post-mix systems, and fountain machines). Ensure appropriate technical resources are available through internal teams and qualified external service providers.
• Oversee HVAC and refrigeration activities across facilities and trade equipment by coordinating, scheduling, and managing contractors and/or specialized internal team members; review work quality, documentation, and safety practices without requiring hands-on subject matter expertise.
• Develop and maintain efficient departmental standards, procedures, and policies to maximize output and comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned.
• 5+ years of managerial experience in a facilities or operational environment.
• Working knowledge of facilities/building systems maintenance, fleet operations, and equipment maintenance; ability to supervise specialized technicians and coordinate vendor/contractor support (including HVAC-R/refrigeration) as needed.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Tier 2 – Growth Areas
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for facilities/building systems, fleet, and company equipment (including trade equipment such as primary coolers, post-mix systems, and fountain machine).
• Manage the requisition of new equipment, machinery, vehicles, tools and parts. Tracks their respective records, inspections, warrantees, and service agreement and assure accuracy of inventories.
• Recommend equipment, vehicle, and machinery meant for replacement and arrange/manager for necessary disposal or sale.
• Anticipates maintenance or operational risks and recommends preventive solutions.
• Improves contractor performance, cost control, and service coordination.
• Enhances preventive maintenance effectiveness and cross department collaboration.
• Contributes to medium term capital and asset planning.
• Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC R/refrigeration oversight, fleet maintenance, or related field.
