Summary: 

The Content Coordinator for The Guam Guide (TGG) is responsible for planning, producing, and managing content across the brand’s digital platforms, including social media, website, email newsletter, and community engagement channels. This role supports both brand-building and revenue-generating efforts by creating engaging content, coordinating client deliverables, and tracking digital performance. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, audience-aware, and comfortable representing the brand. A deep understanding of Guam’s culture, community, and lifestyle is essential to ensure all content is locally authentic and meaningful. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage daily content scheduling, posting, and community engagement across The Guam Guide’s social media platforms. 
  • Collaborate with sales team to plan, storyboard, and produce sponsored content for clients and members, including branded reels, posts, and stories. 
  • Coordinate with Creative team for visual asset needs to support content plans. 
  • Update and maintain The Guam Guide’s website, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with SEO best practices.  
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics across platforms; prepare monthly analytics reports and recommend adjustments to improve engagement and reach.  
  • Manage and grow The Guam Guide’s email newsletter and WhatsApp community, maintaining consistent, value-driven communication with followers and subscribers.  
  • Represent The Guam Guide at events and public engagements, capturing content and strengthening brand presence. 
  • Contribute blog/article posts, captions, or editorial-style content aligned with TGG’s voice and audience.  
  • Collaborate with freelance contributors as needed to support content production. 
  • Stay up to date on Guam events, cultural moments, and audience interests to inform ongoing content strategy. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

None. May coordinate with freelancers or contributors as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field preferred or minimum of 1 year of experience equivalent, in content creation, social media management, or digital publishing. 
  • Portfolio or examples of digital work highly preferred. 

Skills and Requirements: 

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content strategies. 
  • Excellent communication, writing, time management and organizational skills. 
  • Experience in photo/video production (especially for mobile content and short-form video) 
  • Ability to analyze performance data and adjust content strategies accordingly. 
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Drupal), email tools (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact), and social scheduling platforms (e.g. Buffer). 
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Comfortable representing the brand in public and professional settings. 
  • Must have deep familiarity with Guam’s culture, community, and current events. 
  • Passion for Guam’s lifestyle, tourism, and storytelling.
